Round 17 commences Thursday with Hawthorn taking on the Doggies at 5:30pm WA time. Your team needs to be submitted by 5:20pm. Please don’t pick any delisted STC player! Check your squads here.



The Danger Games

If you aren’t worried about this fixture, there’s something amiss with your grey matter.

Four rounds to go before we hit the DuFFLe finals. Yeah, The Colonel and BT won’t be in the top eight, but everyone else could be; and those ensconced in the upper echelons of the DuFFLe ladder may find themselves knocked down a peg or two.

Firstly, could FD inflict a loss upon her beloved Boss Hog? You bet she could. Once the Bay Bros notch up this win, they will be just one game out of the eight and Luke’s Dukes will be clinging on by fingernails.

Similarly for the Jolly Jokers, claim a win against Moptop’s rabbits and the game is well afoot. The Captain has Ashcroft, Dangerfield and Holmes to welcome back into the team and Moppy has the upside of Harris Andrews. This will not be a laydown misère for the Rabbits.

Cookie and Straddo found some form last week; both scoring 150+. Cookie welcomes back Green (Toby) Neale and Whitfield whereas Straddo gets to bolster his side with Greene (Tom), Himmelberg and Smith. A sneaky win for the Ingredients can get them out of the danger zone.

The Colonel gets back Miers this round and is hoping to upset the in-form Stars who could submit an unchanged team. Unlikely, but possible.

Willsie Aeroplane can bolster its R16 team with a slew of A grade players. Having said that, El Primero also has Cameron (Charlie), Hipwood, Idun, Neale (Lachie) and Riccardi available for selection. This will be a close one with the win going to The Blocker and MattyT swapping placed with him on the DuFFLe ladder.

You’d think that a game against BT’s El Bombres would be a walkover for Steele’s Kings. Consider, though, that BT can now add Caddy, Dunkley, Kako, McGrath and Stuart (Tom) to his starting lineup. This should have Steele worried and the result will be close. Kepler's Kings should take out the win, but by only a handful of points.
