The Squad Depth scores are averages that are based upon the top two players' ruck scores, top four backmen's scores, top five midfield scores and top four forwards' scores. It takes into account all the Rounds played so far. It is designed to show how 'deep' is each team's talent pool. If they lost one or two good players, are they cannon-fodder for the rest of the year?
To generate a total squad depth score that reflects the scores obtained by teams week-to-week in the HomeNaway, the two ruck scores are averaged to one, the four backs averaged to two, the five midfielders averaged to three, and the four forwards averaged to two.
