Round 1 commences Thursday when Richmond host Carlton at the MCG. Bouncedown is at 4:30pm WA time so your team needs to be submitted to this thread by 4:20pm. STC players cannot be selected for Round 1.

Round 1 - the Shane Richmond Round:
  • Cookie (Ingredients) v The Colonel (Justin's Jokers) at Kitchen
  • The Blocker (Willsie Aeroplane) v Steele (Kepler's Kings) at Blockerdrome
  • BossHog (Luke's Dukes) v Straddo (Souls) at Hazard County Ground
  • MattyT (El Primero) v BomberTroy (El Bombres) at Swan Valley Arena
  • Moptop (White Rabbits) v Bizkit (SoS Superstars) at Kamp Krasnov
  • FD1016 (Bay Bros) v CaptDazza (Jolly Jokers) at Swinging Pig Oval



The Race Begins


The great test, that is the DuFFLe competition, begins for 2025. We welcome Steele into the competition and wonder if the young man can match his father’s illustrious career by going deep into the finals.

Kiss of Death
  • FD to defeat The Captain because her forwards fire and the Jokers’ forwards don’t.
  • Boss Hog v Straddo. Geez, both teams have great squads. I do think, however, that De Koning will have a brilliant year and will lead the Dukes to their first win for 2025.
  • El Primero looks in trouble against BT’s well-rounded squad. El Bombres have two solid rucks (Draper and Flynn) and a formidable midfield. Gawn appears well passed his best and I don’t think will give MattyT the points needed. El Primero’s forwards and defenders will mitigate the loss, but a loss it will be.
  • Cookie and The Colonel have great squads and I think the midfield of the Ingredients will score more than Justin’s Jokers. Cookie by seven points.
  • Moppy v Biz: I look at the Stars and I see flexibility. That will be great to cover for the likely injuries but it puts enormous pressure in Biz putting his players in the best positions. The White Rabbits have the best squad right now. I’m naming them the 2025 premiership favourites and they will defeat the Superstars by seventeen points.
  • The Blocker v Steele: I like both squads. But I think the game will be decided by the points-scoring engine that is the midfield and back line. Steele by ten.

Not anything I can control, FD. My only suggestion is to try different browsers or platforms and turning off things like ad-blockers. I am happy to try for you if you send me Boss Hog's email address through Messenger.

Finally, we're back! I was hoping to have time to do a proper write up of all the squads in the DuFFLe but that will have to wait with work being full on atm.

I'm pretty happy with the side barring one or 2 selections on draft night so fingers crossed this is the one to take us back to the summit. First up is Moppy and his colony of rabbits. With Witt's up against the rubbish OOFTIT's we're gonna need a big performance from our midfield to compete and make sure it comes down to the wire. Good luck Moppy.
