The AFL round 18 bounce down is Friday at 5:40pm which requires you to submit your team to this thread by 5:30pm WA time this Friday.

* MattyT (El Primero) v Straddo (Souls) at Swan Valley Arena
* BossHog (Luke's Dukes) v Cookie (Ingredients) at Hazard County Ground
* CaptDazza (Jolly Jokers) v Bizkit (SoS Superstars) at Beerporium Balcony
* The Blocker (Willsie Aeroplane) v Slammo-Jnr (Slammen's Saviours) at Blockerdrome
* FD1016 (Bay Bros) v Moptop (White Rabbits) at Donetsk Stadium




The Stakes Are High


With only three HomeNaway rounds before we enter the DuFFLe Finals, wins and losses have season-defining outcomes. Let’s check out Round 18…

  • BT and The Colonel are fighting not to be awarded the ignominy of the wooden spoon. Both teams have a good ruck and strong forwards but El Bombres are strong in the midfield and down back. BT to win by ten points.
  • MattyT is solid in fourth spot on the ladder. Straddo is a win and points away from eighth and has to win this week. Unfortunately for the Souls, El Primero’s superior midfield will secure a win. The margin will be thirteen points.
  • Boss Hog has finals locked in. If lucky, they might sneak into the top four but a win this week is critical to that lofty goal and they would have to defeat the impressive Ingredients. Both the Dukes and Cookie’s squads have the talent, but the Ingredients outshine their opponents by a smidge. Ingredients by five.
  • Only with a disastrous final three games will the Jokers miss out on Finals. The Superstars, however, are in a dogfight with Jnr, FD and Straddo for a bottom eight position. The playing cards haven’t been turned in Biz’s favour this year and I don’t think his luck will change. The Stars could score bigly, but we all dream of winning Lotto. Jokers by eleven.
  • The statistics tell us that WillsieAir should be ten points better than Jnr’s Saviours. I can’t see Slam-Jnr bucking the odds and The Blocker will move to a 15 and 4 win-loss.
  • If FD is to play for the premiership her Bros will need to take some scalps and Moptop’s Rabbits are in her sights. The Rabbits have a better midfield than FD’s Bay Bros, but the Bros have the opportunities to score big in the forward line. For the win, FD needs lots of goals. Unfortunately, they will not score enough this week. Moppy by seven.
