Round 1 commences Thursday (March 14) with the perennial season-opener, Carlton v Richmond. With bounce down at 4:30pm, your team needs to be submitted to this thread by 4:20pm WA time on Thursday.


Round 1 - Sort Of


The season finally starts for real after the abomination of the bye-ridden Opening Round and we really don’t have much on an idea how our DuFFLe sides will perform, but that has never before stopped me from making wild assumptions. Here we go…

Blocker will sneak over the line when WillsieAir takes on the White Rabbits and I think Slammo-Jnr will do the same when faced with the challenge of El Primero at the SV Arena. Biz looks to have a versatile squad and the Stars should be too strong for The Colonel. Then we get to see a most interesting matchup. Straddo v Cookie. The reigning premier v Cookie’s Formidables. I don’t think anyone can look at Cookie’s squad and not be scared. Cookie to win by the straight.

BT has a real challenge on his hands this week as Boss Hog has a full squad from which to select. Consequently, the Dukes will record their first win. I am not sure, however, on the outcome of the Jokers/BayBros match. This could be our first draw for 2024.
