With AFL bouncing into Round 11 at 5:50pm this Friday (Sydney v Carlton), your teams need to added to this thread by 5:40pm WA time.



We have some ripper matchups in Round 11 of the HomeNaway, and not just interesting games but important ones too.

Knights v Ingredients: Oos’s team has been hanging around the lower rungs of the top eight for a while. Winning when needed but not being able to take it up to the better teams and it won’t be an easy-win weekend coming up. Cookie looks to have the advantage and should win by 15 points.

Slammo v PK: It hasn’t been a year of glory for the Kats and you’d think Slammo will just pour on the misery. PK to fall short by 25.

The Colonel v BomberTroy: BomberTroy should not be sitting at the bottom of the DuFFLe ladder. Take, for instance, his Bombres’ if-only score last week of 168! The Colonel should be wary and I’m going to predict an upset. Bombres by 3.

MattyT (2) v Straddo (1): Now here is a test of your mettle. El Primero have been on the ascent for weeks and Straddo doesn’t sit in the number one position due to good luck. Both coaching well and this should be a great high-scoring game. The Souls by less than 10 points.

FD v The Blocker: The Bay Bros haven’t been lucky at all this year. They could easily have had two or three more wins on the board but the stars did not align. WillsieAir have sputtered about recently but should be well-tuned enough to ruin FD’s weekend. Blocker by 18.

Hypen v Awake: Hypen’s Heroes’ 150 point score last week surprised me. Geez, could they be a good team after all? Nah… Awake, however, have the eGulls squad of the DuFFLe. They just have mediocre players to choose from. Can they notch up win number three? I’m going to say no. The Insomniacs will fall short of Hypen’s Heroes by 8 points.

Moptop v PurpleThai: The Hecklers, too, are undermanned and this will have Moptop breathing more easily this week as he chases the tail of those in the top eight. A loss to the Lupines would be a disaster. Moppy by 22.

Bizkit (5) v The Captain (6): Biz has that threatening look about his team. The Stars are like the WAFL Swannies of the early 1980s - look sideways at them and they’ll knock your head clean off your shoulders. The Jokers are similar to Claremont of the same era - highly skilled players who don’t have the mean streak but can score a lot and quickly. This matchup will shape the top eight, especially as we are now looking to the imminent Bye Rounds. The Stars in a close one. Margin 6 points.
