AFL Round 20 kicks off at 6:10pm on Friday so your team for the first week of the DuFFLe finals must be submitted by 6:00pm (WA time) on Friday.

For the first week of the DuFFLe Finals Series I am pleased to announce a new finals sponsor: Krug. In a tightly fought bidding war for this prestige four-week event, the Krug family outbid the previous scotch whisky conglomerate and we are pleased to announce that the top eight teams will be playing for the Krug Grande Cuvée Premiership Cup. Not surprisingly, no-one outbid Stones in their sponsorship renewal of the Stones Green Ginger Wine Richmond Cup.*

*Before lawyers get involved, there is no real link with any company associated with any of the above two, wonderful products and the august competition known, belovedly, as the DuFFLe.

Ok, here goes, it's 1am, in a few hours I'll be jetting off to Mallorca. At some point I'll be able to check the scores and I'll be relying on Freo to clean up Melbourne to have any chance of pulling off a miracle upset.

When was the last time someone fielded 3 dockers in a duffle final and won? Buggered if I know, but I'm sure Mercs computer has the answer!

We managed to sneak into top spot last week but it came at a price with 4 Stars putting themselves out of action. As a result, there has been mass changes to the side that scored well last week. Stanley will be replaced by Ceglar playing his first game of the season while there are two tactical moves that will make or break the Stars.

Our boy Luke Ryan took 11 marks and had 6 tackles last week but he'll be getting a rest in the wet while Ellis comes into the side to pick up easy marks vs the OOFTIT's. At the other end of the ground, Luke Breust has kicked 8 goals in the absence of our spearhead over the past fortnight but returns to the bench as Lynch's hammy is looking better.

I'd say good luck Straddo but when you're off on a fancy holiday to Mallorca, you clearly don't need it. Enjoy your trip mate and don't worry about the footy, let us have this small win thanks.
