Your finals team needs to be submitted to this thread by God Knows When (WA time).

The Souls and Jokers have rested over the past week and await PK’s Kats and Blocker’s WillsieAir. These will be two high quality Preliminary Finals, as long as injury doesn’t curse one or two teams.

Down in the Richmond Cup, The Piglets have qualified for the Cup Final with their win over Moptop’s Chooks. The Chooks, however, get a second chance to get to the final but have to get past Polly’s Hooley Dooleys.

Preliminary Final #1: Straddo (Souls) v Purple Kit (The Kats) at Dishani Double Dog Dome
  • Played 8 times since 2013.
  • Number of victories for Straddo: 5
  • Number of victories for Purple Kit: 3
  • Draws: 0

    Preliminary Final #2:
CaptDazza (Jolly Jokers) v Blockerhall (Willsie Aeroplane) at Horizontal Falls
  • Played 10 times since 2013.
  • Number of victories for CaptDazza: 6
  • Number of victories for Blockerhall: 4
  • Draws: 0

Richmond Cup Preliminary: Winner to challenge FD's Piglets
Pollyanna (Hooley-Dooleys) v Moptop (Thundering Chooks) at Oosadrome
  • Played 6 times since 2013.
  • Number of victories for Pollyanna: 2
  • Number of victories for Moptop: 4
  • Draws: 0

The Jokers are coming off a What If score of 189 last week compare to Willsie's 142, shame we didn't play last week.
Here's hoping our recent good fortune to can last a little bit longer.

Jolly Jokers:
B: J Steele StK, L Ryan Fre
M: T Mitchell Haw, J Simpkin NM, T Adams Col
F: J Kennedy WC, J Darling WC - Boooo, Double Boooo
R: S Draper Ess

I/C: R Marshall StK, L Jackson Mel, B Keays Ade, E Curnow Car

Here's hoping for a high scoring contest Blocker, worthy of a Prelim.

Good luck all.

well here we are folks, at the seriously pointy end of the season, The Purple Kit Kats have had their fair share of injuries this year but everyone is coming back and hitting form at the right time.

Straddo has been near the top all season though, so this is the most vital team selection of the year, hopefully I don't blow it.

hopefully both teams get through without any in game injuries and the best coach goes into the grand final. good luck Straddo.

Straddo 2021: Finals Week 3 - Team Selections 3 months 3 weeks ago #7

Straddo
Well well well, cometh the hour, and all that Jazz.

So the Souls were kicking back last weekend, thought we'd check in to see how things are going with the team while lounging around sipping on a rather tasty scotch.

Friday night - Danger, Boom, gone, busted neck, Rohan, Boom, gone, busted leg, Haynes, Boom, busted face, at least he managed to make it back

Just when I thought it was over, (The pain, not the scotch) along comes Saturday night - O'Brien, Boom, gone, busted knee. King, Boom, gone, busted hip

Just like that the Souls season started veering off the rails, down the hill and into the abandoned asbestos mine and no amount of scotch was going to help us, so we've done our best to recover and tape up the holes.

The ruck is a bit light, with the choice between Meek(vs Nic Nat and with Darcy in the side) and Frampton(vs Gawn with likely youngster Strachan coming in) one of the toughest of the season. I've decided to go with Meek, but I could easily be giving up 15 points in the ruck alone. The Souls forward line is a bit hit and miss, and could produce anywhere between 0 and 30 points. The backs have been serviceable and hopefully after a quiet one last week will be back amongst it this weekend. Our only real chance is to pick up some points in the midfield. Unfortunately that means relying on Punchy Gaff. One can only hope that they’re all junk disposals.

Ruck: Meek (Us)
Mid: Miller (Suns)
Mid: Lyons (Lions)
Mid: Gaff (Them)
Back: Haynes (GWS)
Back: Membrey (Saints)
Fwd: Larkey (Roos)
Fwd: King (saints)

Int: McGovern (Blues), Frampton (Crows), Cripps (Blues), Danger (Cats)

Injured: O'Brien, Rohan

Out of Sorts: Langdon, Saad

Good Luck PK, last week you would have spanked us, hopefully this week we can keep it competitive and alive until the last game!
