Biz’s Superstars
Stars of Tomorrow

because they are hardly stars today. Yes, but credit where credit is due; the Stars did have a win this week and did so with an honourable 136 points over Alvin’s Buccaneers. Am I being too mean, dear reader? Let’s have a look.

The ruckmen signed on for the Stars are Braydon Preuss (yet to play), Toby Nankervis (serviceable) and Sean Darcy (also serviceable). None of which are a huge advantage to the Superstars. The midfield is also solid without being outstanding: Luke Parker, Lachie Neale and Dan Houston. You would think that Lachie Neale will hit some form sometime this season and give Biz a sizeable boost in points. It just hasn’t happened as yet.

In the backline, Biz has Changkuoth Jiath and, and, and… Jordan Ridley. Well, that’s somewhat underwhelming. Maybe the Stars have some top forwards. Joe Daniher and Tom Lynch. Solid? Yes. Outstanding? No. If using a bar-shelf liquor analogy for our Dockerland franchises, it is clear that the Superstars is the creme de menthe. If you were to pick the Stars, you must be drunk and desperate.

The Knights were a touch unlucky this week in scoring 151 points only to be out-gunned by PK’s Kats, and one can offer the same commiseration to Moppy who was done over by the magnificent Willsie Aeroplane - 195 points!

Congrats to FD’s Piglets on securing a win against Matty’s El Primero; 117 to 111 - perhaps just a finger clap is all that deserves. The Commandos and Jokers were not much better, but the Colonel came home with the win.

Both Cookie and Pollyanna found great form this week and scored memorable victories over the respected Souls and Passes.

Hey Merc,
Appreciate the win, but Colonel won this match.
Jokers did score 132, but The Commandos scored 145, including 15 from Stanley in the ruck.

PS, please don't tip me anymore :)

Thanks for the heads-up, Captain - I've corrected that now. I managed to leave Treloar out of the Colonel's team.

So good sportsmanship isn't banned in the post-Slammo DuFFLe?

Sheesh, only 6 points in it Oos, told you Crouch had the ability to Spud it up. The Kit Kat’s (like Richmond) are missing Prestia more than we thought we would. The thought that my “if only” score included Acres as a mid sends shivers down my spine.

The cavalry in Laird and O'Meara came in at the finish with Georgiades putting in a cameo to make it look close, but you always had the whip hand from the first bounce. Cuppla stupid selection blues didn't help either.
Still, neither of us can be too disappointed about our scores
The Knights will face a few weeks of the truth with Block coming up next week.
Well done anyway, mate, and keep it going.

Thanks Oos, It was that case that a score of 150+ would guarantee a victory but other teams are regularly posting scores of 160+ this year with the reduced number of teams, one slip at the selection table can cost you.

Ouch, that's not a great review of the side. Matt Crouch the fourth highest scoring player last season couldn't even crack a mention let alone Neale (the second highest) being only solid. I guess with Neale joining Crouch on the sidelines for an extended stint, you're probably right now.
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.
