Toby Greene with a dominant midfield saw the Ingredients triumph in no uncertain terms over Polly’s Hooley Dooleys in Round 3 of the 2021 DuFFLe. Although Polly’s band put up an admirable score, they could not overcome the point scoring on the Ingredients’ near every line. In racking up 158 points, Cookie has signalled that the first two rounds of this season are not to be used as a measure for the Ingredients. They are a team who will challenge for the premiership.

Cookie, however, is not alone. Oos’s Knights smashed El Hombres to announce their presence in the race for the flag, and the Jokers, Chooks and WillsieAir reminded us of their firepower at the expense of the Kats, Piglets and Superstars. 2021 in the DuFFLe is going to be a season to remember.

391 had a win against The Colonel but we must not leave Straddo’s Souls to be a footnote for Round 3. Their score of 169 against the formidable Buccaneers should have all the other teams looking over their shoulders. Underestimate Straddo at your peril.

A 176 v 181 loss would have been too cruel, on top of all the other crap results this weekend.

It's good to be back in the winner's circle, I knew my mids had it in them. I'll have to admit the gamble of going with a saints forward line isn't exactly paying the dividends I thought it could.

The Superstars leaky defence allowed another big bag to an opposition key forward that obliterated us. We have to lock down in the future and it starts in the middle. No Crouch and Neale playing like a crab has meant we can't win the footy and give our forwards enough supply.

The coach has a lot of thinking to do this week. Well played Block, that's a massive score.
