Would Jack Lukosius from Gold Coast be worth enquiring about? Right age demographic for our group, 195cm can play forward or back. Seems to be having some problems with Damien Hardwick but an absolute star, can kick goals, 39 in 22 games last year.. A South Australian but would probably cost 2 first round picks.

Well it seems Jack wants to play forward but GC have lots of tall forward options and Hardwick is playing him as key position tall defender. I think there may also be a bit of personality clash going on as well. His talent as a key forward and goalscorer though are undeniable

Yes, but I think this is a bit different. With Lobb there was a partner and manager pulling the strings but this is a bit different. The biggest issue of course is whether he would get on with JLo as we know he doesn't like having disruptive influences around our player group. If this were likely to be an issue then I'd knock it on the head straight away however the guy is just such a super talent that we would have to at least make enquiries.

Our problem is that we need to kick goals, we need to have players who WANT to kick goals. That was fairly evident in Geelong and Adelaide wins on weekend. Players like Rankine and Stengle. We may have to sacrifice a guy like Switta who is all pressure forward in tackles and smothers for someone who likes kicking goals which creates scoreboard pressure. On our list those types are lacking, Jack Delean is that type of player but he is young. That's where a guy like Lukosius may be an option if we are serious about winning a flag and the only thing lacking is goals.

Who threw out the Luko off field issues thing? The guy has always played wherever his coaches want him and never been anything other than clean cut and a team player. I think you guys are drawing a very long bow here.

The issue Luko has is the number of quality key position players at GC and the potential to head elsewhere for more opportunity. It's incredibly doubtful because GC will do everything to hang onto him but that's all it is. GC have an abundance of talented tall players.
