From the Freo website:
The Dockers' search for a wingman to complement Jeremy Sharp has been successful. In somewhat of a surprise move, Andrew Gaff will quit the West Coast Eagles and join Fremantle in the mid-season draft.
Speaking via the club's website, Gaff said, "I want to make things right after 2018, so joining Fremantle was the correct decision.
"I was incensed after being dropped by Simpson. I am an All Australian who is playing for a bunch of wooden spoon losers. I want to play for a side in contention and win the premiership medal that I am entitled to."
Asked for his opinion on the deal, Fremantle's Andrew Brayshaw said, "since I got punched in the mouth, Gaff and I have been good golfing buddies - thanks to him my handicap has fallen by 5 shots."
Gaff will wear jumper #16, left vacant by David Mundy for the past two seasons.
