There was a lot happening around the time of Jesse’s last season at Freo. Jesse still had a few issues (I think he flipped his car), he had an injury, it was COVID which made it harder for him to be out of the team, and JLo was a new coach and I don’t think he really knew how to handle Jesse. For starters he favoured Tabs and Lobb over him, meaning Jesse was trialled as a defender, and when Jesse cracked the sulks JLo pretty publicly panned him.
I reckon if they both had their time again they would each do things differently, but that’s life.
