i wouldn't be too worried 3 dodgy frees gave them easy goals and the last one given to them for a ruck infringement ,ol Dermie could not believe it.and as usual went to great pains in the replay to explain why,and he was right ,up until Reidy slightly had his arm over the port guys shoulder.
He said the shepherd was there way before that.Because neither could geet anywhere near the ball.
For virtually the whole game Port went straight down the corridor,and in the last three mins we kick two goals by doing just that .The rest of the game it was same ol same ol.We went corridor last week so why change .
Bloody hell have we not learnt anything from last year ?
Our mids had an average 26 possies each for the game Fyfe and Youngy the standouts,
compared to Port their mids had similar possies,but way more score involvments.
I thought McDonald showed a bit ,also Sharp,Sturt well welcome back to Peel son.
Pearce did a great job as did Luke,We went defensive as soon as Port had possession in their backline,i would not like to count how many times they were playing kick to kick across their backline , compared to us very hesitant coming out of defence.Unlike the previous week.
Was this style because we had very good players out ?Who definitely would have made a difference, but maybe they
would still play the same game plan,so kick that game plan in the guts and get it sorted before Brissie or all hell will break loose.
People will say it's only a scratchie,I suppose that 's one thing.
