Such sad news, feeling a bit floored by this. Polly was the only Dockerlander I've ever knowingly met. It was before a Derby maybe 10, maybe 15, years ago. He'd had the, frankly brilliant, idea of getting duck callers - the things Canadians and Americans would use when hunting to attract ducks within range as they made a realistic duck quacking noise - to blow whenever a West Coast player got the ball. So I went along and met him, as arranged on here, outside whichever gate it was at Subi that he'd suggested. I gleefully blew on that duck caller throughout the game, seriously annoying everyone, West Coast or Fremantle, within earshot. I'll miss his posts, but I'm glad he made them. He is firmly in the "my life is better for their existence" camp. Vale Polly.
