Happened to me in 1999 - have been around since 1994 but reset to 0 when I was in sunny qld for 12 months - hence it only shows me a 20 member in 2019.

When I was away for 2yrs 2013/14 the Club advised me to just become a ‘purple army member’ (I think that’s what it was called or something similar) so I wouldn’t lose my longevity. I guess I spoke to the right person. However I am just a 29yr member as just went to games as a non member the first year so no scarf for me. The towel’s great for the gym. Would still like a lanyard.

And just as I've said it, they are now available in the shop. A bit late, like the membership mail outs but I'll be ordering a copy tomorrow. Now I just hope they fix up the online membership portal before the season. It's a mess at the moment

As a 20 year member they gave me a lovely purple box with a gray scarf in it. OK, it wasn't entirely gray, it did have a few delicate purple lines on it, but it may as well have been gray.
I am going to lobby the club to have beige added as one of our official colours - replacing purple. Purple is much too exciting. Then when I'm a 30 year member I'll have a gray and beige scart.
