Well the wonderkid superstar has hit the headlines again.Beating Suma and Bas.
16. Number 1 draft pick West Coast Eagle Harley Reid
At the start of the year, only the most hardcore of football fanatics knew of Harley Reid.
By the end of the year, the young phenomenon has become a household name — quite an achievement for a teenager from rural Victoria who is yet to play an AFL game.
Reid became the most-hyped draftee in league history, with attention growing on the consensus No.1 draft pick as the year wore on.
But as the Eagles called out Reid’s name first on draft night as widely expected, and he received the coveted No.9 jumper from retiring ruck superstar Nic Naitanui, the midfield gun showed all the right signs that he’ll be happy in WA and ready to embrace the almost unprecedented hype.
From the blue-and-gold socks-and-thongs combo on the morning after the draft — having slept in his new West Coast guernsey — to happily signing autographs and posing for all manner of selfies for the throngs of fans that turned out at his Perth Airport arrival and inaugural training session, the 185cm-tall Reid appeared all-in from the get-go.
West Coast fans will be hoping his on-field performance is just as pitch-perfect when he gets a chance to take to the field next year and show why he’s considered the future of the once-mighty club as the Eagles seek to rebuild their fortunes.
And with eventual wooden spooner West Coast in the box seat throughout the season to have first rights to recruit him, concerns mounted about whether the 18-year-old from Tongala in country Victoria would be a “flight risk” to head back home if he started his career in the west.Suma was 19th and Bas 18th ,the worst's list of the most influential people in WA.
I'm lost for any words to describe it.Except to say show me anything that is said above is any reason to make any list .
