We were getting to be a very young list, so no problem getting in a couple of quality experienced players. Both McCarthy and Brazill will add value. Hyde was in and out of the team and she was one of the more experienced youngsters, so probably not a huge sacrifice.
I think they may have used Runnalls as the delist / draft candidate since she's from Victoria. If another team grabbed her, at least there was a good chance she'd end up back home.
Great to see lots more players opting for the national draft. That gave us some hope with a late pick since the WA talent pool seems pretty shallow at the moment.
