Quasi- it depends on what the club is trying to achieve. If it wants to play finals this year you play your best current players, ie Brodie, as he is ahead of Erasmus at the moment. If you are not worried about finals this year and you are simply laying the groundwork for a 2025/26 push for a premiership, then play Erasmus and hope that he becomes a better player than Brodie over the next couple of years. If it was up to me, I’d play Brodie and give Erasmus time to develop at Peel this year. I want finals in 2023! (and Brodie deserves it after last year’s effort)
