Tough call.

Given the goal is a flag, we must get games into the players we believe are going to end up in the higher echelon. For mine, in no particular order, of the players that have yet to full establish themselves as automatic selections, that's Johnson, Chapman, Walker, Erasmus, Treacy, Amiss, and O'Driscoll.

Following this line to it's logical conclusion, that means that as good as they've been this year, Banfield and Hughes would be the ones to miss out if we had a fully fit squad.

Not sure where Henry fits in to the picture - hope he can make it happen next time he gets a chance. By all reports he's playing strongly with Peel.

Glad I'm not a selector.

Agree Sloby, I would rather see Johnson & Raz in the team than Hughes & Banfield.

Sure Banfield kicks a goal here and there but he makes some poor decisions and just doesn’t seem to have footy smarts for mine, flies for marks against our key forwards when he should be waiting down for it if it hits the ground.

I think Hughes and Banfield have played their roles very well the last few weeks. Provided some strength and composure during some high pressure phases within the matches.

Whether you agree with that or not, this much is true: you can't play all the kids at once or they lose the plot and it's not conducive to learning.
