Couldn't they have delisted him before the trade period so he could've looked for another club? Or maybe there was no interest. Either way, it's a cruel business. Should be room on every list for a mascot.

I was always a fan of Mitch and thought he deserved more of a crack this season. I would think he’s be surprised at the opportunities Coyler got and the 1 year contract for next season. Crowden for me would of been a better option to keep.

Bozza, agree that Crowden probably deserved an extra year ahead of Colyer but I doubt either would play much next season anyway. If Colyer is playing regularly next season we will be struggling, but the same can be said for Crowden.

There are quite a few Mitch Crowden's in the AFL. Guys who don't really have the physical attributes needed, but who make up for it by learning all the skills, and playing exactly the role the coach asks of them. It is a shame for Mitch that he was only with us during the dark years.
