Not for the price they're asking for. We don't have a pick to send their way and I wouldn't want to.

I rate Sharp but he was around pick 30 in his draft year and wasn't being played by GC this season despite strong form the year before and at VFL level to justify the draft capital. If they rate him so highly, they should be playing him, not asking for the equivalent of what we paid for Jordan Clarke.

Let Sharp develop for another year at GC then grab him next season for cheap when he's out of contract. His thoughts on wanting to come home are unlikely to change, especially when Flagmantle 2023 comes rolling through.

IMO we need to strike to get Sharp now not next year.
He will have a breakout year and hopefully its with us.
He is a gun and fits our list profile perfectly.
He was a slime supporter growing up and they will be able to throw alot more his way next year than we can..
Im hoping Belly can make it happen late in the trade period without giving more than say a pick 30...

Remember this time last year most were saying the same about Jordan Clark - in the end we have got him for a steal..

O'Meara is very interesting and left field. Fremantle have admired him since his draft but I wouldn't have thought any recruiters from way back then would be still dreaming about it. If true Fyfe basically full-time forward in the Logue role, which is an upgrade but line ball for conversion. And we lose Meek :(. Real premiership window bravado.

Certainly casts a pall over getting Sharp. Can't draft 'em all, can't trade 'em all.

Sharp will only happen if Brisbane and the Bulldogs can get Dunkley sorted, opening options for Lobb to Footscray for a decent pick that will satisfy Gold Coast for Sharp.

JOM is an average player these days who looks slow and lacks impact. He's barely been getting a proper run through the Hawk midfield which is amongst the worst in the competition. Ever since his injuries, he's lost his speed and power in the contest and looks a shadow of his former self. He'll be 29 in a few months and not getting any quicker or better.

I can't see how we have room for him in our side when blokes like Tucker and Mundy weren't able to get a game for next season and we have Erasmus and Johnson looking for game time, along with hopefully Fyfe. Which of Brayshaw, Serong or Brodie is dropping out of our midfield rotation for another slow, old inside midfielder?

I'm not sure I'd even take JOM for free at this point as I'd much rather our youth get exposure and development while I don't think he'd be an improvement on any of them. Apparently, he has a hefty wage to fit under the salary cap too and I'd much rather focus that on Serong next season.
