Big shout out to the operations folk at the stadium tonight, managed to engineer 100 metre food and drink lines for a crowd of ten thousand.

Someone please tell those halfwits in charge what a cricket scoreboard looks like. And thanks for the two buses that went into Perth City at the end. I don't live on St Georges Terrace you bastards.

If Mitch Crowden played cricket he'd be Sam Curren, so there's that too.

To be honest, I think all T20 games are meaningless. Strangely, I don't mind the odd Big Bash game because it's obviously meaningless and just an excuse to have a beer and watch someone swing the bat, whereas I find International T20 weirder because it's meaningless but people seem to think there are stakes of some sort.

I'm sure others have a more internally-consistent view.

Yes the queues were long but I found they moved along OK. The only really slow queue was for fish & chips.

Many checkout staff were idle waiting for customers to pay. So it was slow pouring and frying that was to blame.

BTW for those of you who haven't had the pleasure of drinking beer out of paper cups before, let me give you the heads up - it sucks.

My thoughts were that Cricket Australia didn't promote it because they have some weird politics thing going on with the SCG brigade, who hate WA, and they set it up to fail so they can stop test matches being played in a Perth.
