Except we found spots for Logue in the 22 even when he wasn't deserving of them and offered to pay him $500K per year for 4 years. And he still turned us down.
Walter, please
reference my previous reply to you on how much salary cap room and trade capital there is for the Jackson trade. I can summarise again below:
I) Jackson is being offered around $7-800K. Logue was offered $500K so there's a large portion of the cash for Jackson with Logue out the door instead of Lobb. Then you can add in the salaries of Mundy, Acres and Tucker who would have been on a bit. Monetarily, it's not a problem fitting him in the salary cap.
Trade wise, we still have our first round picks for this and next year which IMO should get it done. I know the media are going to blow it up and pretend like the OOFTIT's have a shot but we have Logue, Acres and Tucker out the door bringing us more picks.
II) Jackson is not a stay at home forward and is fantastic roaming the ground. I've mentioned this numerous times and linked articles explaining how Freo are likely to use him. Lobb will be the stay at home forward with Amiss, Tabs will most likely be a lead up forward. Jackson will rotate through the middle.
