With my freshly constructed tin foil hat firmly attached, this stage 1 of the relocation, we know Clarkson is heavily involved in the Tassie bid. My prediction is the following will occur over the next few years:
i) North officially change their name to just “Kangaroos”
ii) Hawks aren’t awarded an extension to their current TAS deal, additional games go to Kangaroos.
iii) once stadium is completed, Kangaroos move all home games to TAS, maintaining a admin facility in VIC and play a lot of “away” games in Victoria hoping to keep as many norths supporters on side as possible and sell them “Victoria membership” to their away games.
The AwFL do not want to go through the pain of compromising the draft again for a fresh expansion side, they will have rolled out the skeleton of the plan to get him to take the coaching gig, he’ll be there for 7 years at least.
