Be very very sad to see him go. His evolution this year has somewhat matched the teams; starting to see what actually capable of.

He's only 24.

Getting some Mark Blicavs vibes in that his value isn't defined by position and is in his ability to play different roles week on week, and change within games based on team needs.

Alex Pearce is on track to play more games this year than previous 2 years combined. If either Alex and Cox where to be unavailable through injury his value to us as key defender would be huge. (Hamling 29 and contracted for next year).

Personally, I love the strategy of when we're playing teams with two big (and good) key forwards i.e. Carl and McKay and Curnow ... Pearce takes one, Logue takes the other Brennan Cox is air traffic control and takes all the marks.

Logue in the ruck/midfield. Who'd have thought. One thing may be of concern and that's he feels Jackson might take his spot.

And I'd rather Logue and a couple of clever, skilfull mid sized forwards. Right now we need Gunstan or McStay more than Jackson.

Well in Jl's first year as coach,and i have mentioned this here before.
A mate and i were at the preseason game ,against the Blues at Mandurah.injl's first year as coach,.After the game the players mingled ,does not happen very often.
Anyway we were talking to Griff and Blakely,we asked Griff where would you like to play,new coach and all, Lyon obviously had him pigeonholed.
First thing he said ,i want to go into the midfield,he said he had been badgering Jl all preseason.
He certainly wants a crack,and he's proven his versatility,so why not.
