I have received a text claiming to be from FremantleFC supposedly about a postcard sent to the wrong address.
I suggest not touching the link. It looks like a scam.

My says addressed to “the wrong name”. It am guessing it’s a variant of the old classic where they draft it with Dear Rich Bastard and forget to customise the version for Mail merge.
Maybe in this case it will say Dear Cashflow Generator

Club tells me it was a glitch in the sms system they use.
They are going to send out a postcard but their mail merge process basically stuffed up.

Gives me the shivers.

One of our clients is a massive mail house and a single data manipulation error resulted in ~50,000 mail items being recalled from Australia Post and shredded.

"Dear Mrs 16 Burswood Road,

We received that same text this morning and lo and behold did receive the “Thanks” post cards in the mail this afternoon. All three each addressed to different people with our address, none of whom are us! Now I’m wondering where ours have turned up?!!
