We've seen a lot of footballers retire,some cannot handle it and tears flow,some are stoney faced and make it short and sweet.
Barra was steelly-eyed,did not smile much he did smile a lot when talking about his family.it did not look like it was a relief for him.
One thing when he said 'While i've still got a bit in the tank".Intrigued me ,was that there was not enough to go on or yeh i reckon i can still be as good as i am now,for one more year.
I honestly think this has come out of the blue,he said he hopes this can be motivation for the rest of the year.
I'm not sure who said it recently it was a senior coach who said "If you need to be motivated to play your best for this team ,then you dont belong in this team".
Also something his wife said within the last couple of days ,"I would not be surprised if he went again next year".
Well those thoughts will stay in my mind for a while yet.
