I’m not sure if anyone else has seen this? A club scarf that measures your biometrics during the game. I’m guessing it won’t get to the AFL for another couple of decades by which time I’ll be pushing up daisies. But I won’t be disappointed by the fact that someone has missed out on collecting even more data on me. All they need to know is that I enjoy the game more when we win than when we lose!

I got a free watch with my phone upgrade (paying for it in instalments is the new free). And it does all the biometric stuff and its all tosh. They don't measure anything accurately - its telling me im fit. Just ignore it.

More to the point I can't get the !@#$ing thing to tell the time.

I have an original team scarf, which I will proudly wear to retro round (yes, I have been sucked in) that is/was so smart that a stitch was dropped during its procreation and it reads "FREMANTLE FOOTBALI CLUB".

That bit of nothing has gotta be worth something, yeah?

Like the missing bits from the old member cards where the punchouts were done at the Subi entry gates. I still have all those.

When you think about it, they are just as smart and secure as the new electronic systems.

Yes Mushroom they are. Correct.

But the real technological required advancements, climate change, a vaccine for cancerous cells, interstellar travel are beyond us so it's integrated platforms on complatible apps allowing you to be the best version of yourself by monitoring toenail growth that's all the go. Ridiculous useless things powered by the same energy source since electricity was harnessed.

Nice scene in margin call - good movie. Where Zac Pintos character's manager works out one of his risk juniors is a qualified rocket scientist. Working in equities on Wall Street pays better though.

It seems like a very convoluted way to figure out how a fan feels.

A simpler way would be to ensure a few people running the club are fans, or failing that, listening to the fans from time-to-time.

Smart scarf would not work on me as that is where I pin all my membership badges.
Would either put a pin through a wire and short the whole thing out or they would form a faraday cage and prevent any signals getting out.
