Naughton..... A four-year contract extension in April, 2019 means Naughton is locked away until 2024.....and has shown no interest in returning.
McDonald offers nothing more than we've already got, experience wise.

We could always pick up Kennedy from the slime as a fill in after he retires.

What do you suggest we do Corp? Experienced quality tall forwards don’t grow on trees and teams don’t let them go easily. This is why we shouldn’t give up a contracted Lobb in my opinion. If we where into Angus Brayshaw like reported surely we have the cash to keep Lobb and bring in Jackson.

Jackson & Darcy would be the best ruck combination in the league, and one resting forward all of the time would be a good thing. They could ruck 60/40 or 40/60 depending on opponents and where we could gain the upper hand. Between the two of them, they could average 2 goals a game, which we would be happy with from a key forward.

They would both be good targets in the forward line as they are both good marks for a ruckman. There are no key forwards that are better than what we already have presenting themselves, so Jackson would make us a better side.

I think Jackson is the best option Bozza, as long as we don't throw too much away for him. I don't see how we can force Lobb to stay if he doesn't want to be here. He's on big money, so that should free things up a bit.

Lobb wanted out last year and a trade that was overs for him didn’t come so we kept him. He has produced his most consistent season. We need to play hard ball with Lobb. If we don’t get overs for him don’t trade him.

I go for Buddy or Tex Walker.
The club will get pay back big time with Buddy and Tex if he delivers like this season.
The price of $700,000 for Buddy won't happen with Sydney or any other club.

Buddy & Tex, along with Reiwoldt have a bit of baggage with them. None of them will be a good influence on our young players, leave them out of it. Jackson wants to be here, as long as we don't pay over the odds, him in Lobb out would work.

We look to the future and put our money on Amiss to develop into one of our goal scoring KP forwards.
Now I go into my usual obsession which I have expressed many times on this site - make a play for Mitch Georgiardes. Good mark, good kick (kicks goals, which it is about) and a player who has given the PA forward line real bite.

We must keep Darcy. My fear is that getting Jackson will accelerate clubs like Geelong into pushing to get Darcy back to where he comes from. Darcy will be a target by Vic clubs in the next year or two no doubt.
