Fyfe will get a fine - umpire contact always gets punished, regardless.

What will never happen, of course, is the actions of Matthew Cottrell, the Cartoon player who pushed Fyfe into the umpire, being fully examined by the MRO. He appears to push Fyfe forward into umpire O’Gorman with clear intent.

So, according to Cornes..aggressive, deliberate contact whilst verbally questioning of the umpire = incidental contact as a result of being pushed forward. Touching the umpire does not mean nothing else taken into account. Hence Toby's suspension, it was the intent.
Kane Cornes, there are no words for his deliberate misinterpretation of a situation for 'click bait'.
Reality of the situation and the facts prevailed. Pleasantly surprised and happy.

I’m reading Corne’s comments a bit differently but they are confusing as they don’t appear to be directed at Fyfe as much as they are at the Toby Green decision. He wants black and white and that’s just silly as is demonstrated by the Fyfe outcome.
Cornes actually appears to be saying that he thinks Fyfe shouldn’t get anything (the use of double negatives confuses things) but then goes on to say if Toby gets done so should Fyfe but the two incidents are poles apart.

"I didn't think Toby Greene deserved six (weeks), I just want to put that on the agenda, (and) I don't think Fyfe deserves anything. But when (Greene's clash) is six, isn't Fyfe's a lesser version of that?“

I'd fine them both for that. Neither took any care to give the umpire some space.

Fyfe brushed his palm against the umpire to avoid falling into him. There was barely any contact, and Fyfe was still doing his best to protect the umpire.

These two jabronis were an accident waiting to happen.
