Well said Hypen.

And I agree 100% with everything you said. I am well aware of what an out and out champion footballer Doig was. In fact, like all of us, I never saw him play but, his record probably puts him ahead of Pav (in my opinion anyway)

I guess where we differ is that. Whilst without doubt George Doig is the most important figure in the history of Fremantle football, Mathew Pavlich is the most important figure in the history of the Fremantle Football Club.

Matthew Pavlich - 6-times Matthew Pavlich medalist doesn’t quite roll off the tongue, though.

What a champion. Loved seeing those highlights and what Ross had to say about Pav. Definitely a future legend of the game.

I was sitting on the slats at the WACA (remember those games) watching when someone took a pack mark down the other end and all I could see was the number 29 launching.

"Who's that in Brad Wirra's old jumper?"

It made me really proud to see Pav in the HOF. I loved Belly too but Pav is our first 100% all purple Hall of Famer.
We saw his whole career and what a journey it was.
No doubt Fyfe & Mundy will get there at some stage too.
Pav you are a true legend!

Also great to see some more WAFL, Tas & SANFL legends get inducted too..

Super-Pav is super. Good on Ross Lyon for this very generous presentation.

One of our regrets was giving up our membership during the Drum years and only coming back for 2005, so we missed a bit of his footy. We're very lucky to have seen just about everything else though!

Super-Pav a fantastic person, of course.

At one of the Derby lunches, he was happy to have a chat at our table. It was around the time those awful blinking/dancing boundry advertising signs were being introduced . I asked him if they distracted the players trying to take a shot at goal and whether he'd heard anything as President of the Players Assoc.

He laughed and said he hadn't thought about it because he hadn't played a game yet with them being there, but he was sure to be worried about it ..... NOW. I think he missed every shot at the next game and I've always felt bad about it to this day!

Congrats to him and the family.

Good one Crappy, with that subconsciously implanted in his reticular cortex is probably the reason he didn't go onto kicking 1000 goals...

Well done Pav, an acknowledgment much deserved. A couple of different players in the 2013 team and you’d have had a GF medal.

The current FFC team with a Pav forward clone would almost be unbackable GF favourites.
