Right!...we are at the halfway point...and things are going pretty well...
Another thread discussed last weekend's best players, and whilst I concur, ...there's a big fella in the middle whose work is largely unheralded.
His handiwork is the main reason blokes like Brayshaw, Serong & Brodie are making us one of the best centre clearance / stoppage teams in the competition.
For mine, Hodor's knee is the most crucial factor for our 2022 Finals campaign...Just gotta hope it 'hangs in there'.
So, it got me thinking... who is the most irreplaceable player in our team. ?? And - i guess - the answer to this question designates who is our "Most Valuable Player?"
For example, is we lost Pearce...well...he's the centrepiece of that backline, but, I'd wager we'd be able to cover him.
Likewise Brayshaw. Yep, he's probably 'right up there' in all "Best of '22 "'considerations, but, again, we've got options to cover him.
And - obviously, - we can survive without Fyfe...we've proven it.
If we lost Lobb, we'd be stretched , I'd reckon, he has had a very good year, but Tabs (if fit) & Treacy, would be able to present a replacement target.
But, if we lost Hodor.....? Well, ...its my biggest fear...!!
I wonder whether others feel the same?, and, I'd question whether we should be 'cotten wooling him a bit', just so we get him through to the finals campaign.?
