I was impressed how well that young fella could sing without even opening his mouth.

Hawthorn got away with many r’s hole acts today. The shove in the back, not seen. The holding the man, not seen. Sean Darcy must have thought he was going through customs after returning from Columbia. The three steps over the mark, not seen. The creeping off the line of the mark, not called play on. The unnecessarily aggressive wrench down tackle or Zac-Dawson-clumsy fall in the back.

But yeah, hypen, that call on Ryan was particularly poor.

It was a pretty rancid display of officiating.

That’s a very very good win.

Played bad (poor execution, legs looked heavy): still won.

Post the high of Dees and Bris, we’ve historically been bad after big wins: still won.

Got roughed up all day and no love from umps. Be keen to see how many frees they got inside 50. Felt like a lot.

In a 23 week H&A season need to bank 4 points on days when it’s not going to plan.
