Good effort but a kinda lucky win. They didn't handle the conditions all that well - with a Force 7 gale blowing out of one end you would've thought they would've gone for handball and/or short kicks for those two quarters instead of ballooning up attempts at the long one. But what do I know - Ebony Antonio to the rescue again.

I know they're stuck in Covid Central for weeks, but didn't they pack any purple jumpers - are all these games away games? If so, this could be another Scorchers season for us.

For the record, Lanky Franky kicked two (in her debut) and Ebony a pearler from about 35m out on the boundary were all into the hurricane that threatened to rip the goal posts out and reduce the grandstand to bits of flying debris.
