Yeah, morgan, I don't think the club should be getting involved in what was a political exercise. That isn't their role or their forte. That plebiscite was completely politicised from the get go.

It's a completely different kettle of fish when showing support for people who are still subject to unfair treatment and taking a stand against discrimination. Those are issues the club should been seen to take a stand because they're social issues that affect players, supporters and the wider community.

The club did well not to get involved in the politics.

As I recall (and I recall very well), we were just pipped by the Bullies somewhere in the low eighty per cents (which is still a bit disappointing, but okay I guess). I don’t need to tell you who was stone motherless last, somewhere around fifty per cent..)

Funny really (the ironic version), the budgies are normally one of the best at spin and slick but meaningless marketing fluff. Would have expected they'd have at least phoned this in with some half assed effort and the usual flunkies would have lined up the usual level of sycophantic praise.

Unless they don't really care about the AFLW and that gets watered down further with a tribute round.
