He grew up a Freo fan due to living in the same town as Michael Barlow and idolising him as a kid. Now he's got his chance to play for us and I can't wait to see him in action.
A 190cm midfielder who is great in a contest and quite good in the air, he had a few injuries in his first couple of years before stringing an impressive run of performances in his third year where he averaged 21.6 touches, 4.3 marks and 5.5 tackles from 8 games. The addition of Greenwood, Rowell and Anderson restricted his games played last season while the same happened again this year
despite an impressive preseason.
He seems like a fantastic person (clearly being a Freo fan) and someone who is willing to put in the hard yards to succeed. He'll learn a lot under Mundy and Fyfe who he'll likely mold his game on and provide a chop out for in the middle. He'll be a big body to help watch out for the kids while still having a long career ahead.
Welcome Will.
