As Biz said there is a good chance at getting pick 19 if it involves taking a player off their hands that is contracted on decent money and the contract is back ended. Gold Coast are more interested in this then picks. Especially now as they have loaded up on picks next year with the deal with Collingwood. Gold Coast where interested in a similar deal to send MacPherson too North. We are a chance.

Before they made the Collingwood pick swap I thought we were a chance to get pick 22 this way. I think they want to use 19 as bait for McPherson, who’s on more $$ than Brodie and will be harder to move on. I would have happily taken 22 and Brodie for our future 2nd, now it looks more likely we’ll get him as a delisted free agent without a pick being traded.

It looks like Freo are right in the hunt for that valuable pick 19. I would think our future 2nd pick and taking Will Brodie off the Suns books would beat Melbourne's future 1st pick but it could depend as to whether the Suns think they can get Brodie off their books for a cheaper pick.

Cerra to Carltank for pick 6 and future 2nd round. On trade the 2nd round to GC for Brodie and pick 19 and we take his salary over 2 years. On trade pick 19 to Geebung for Clark and a 3rd round pick 41. Freo take 6, 8, 27 and 41 to the trade and get Clarke and Brodie

Yeh but we will already have 2 first round draft picks ahead of 19 anyway and in reality it will slide to at least 21. I wouldnt be surprised to see us split pick 8 or 6 for a lower 1st round and another 2nd rounder so we can use points to match across 1st and 2nd round for the 3 or 4 players we want.
