The harshness on Rory comes about mainly because of the size of his salary compared to his output, and maybe commitment. On his day he is worth every bit of his salary and is probably one of the most dangerous tall forwards in the comp, better than Lynch at Richmond and others not just because of his size and reach but because of his leap. The problem is how rarely we see these days and that's where his critics have a field day. I hope now all this Colin Young instigated nonsense is over he can mend any fences that need fixing at the club and have a great 2 years in purple and hopefully a premiership to boot. I for one will be cheering him every step of the along with all his purple clad team mates.
I wouldn't get carried away with Brander but, as with Brodie, he was a high draft pick when initially drafted which indicates that he did have a bit of ability so if he could be bought in only in perfect circumstance, he may repay us for the opportunity of freeing him from the Weagles grip.
