I hope we don't stuff this up on draft night. If we hold picks 6 and 8 and JVR is available we take him with our first pick and not try to be smart with some pick the best available player rubbish or try to pick someone from left field. JVR represents our best recent chance to pick a genuine tall forward with real talent who shows every time he walks onto a field that he is superior to those around him. The fact that he is versatile at playing tall defender and pinch hitting in the ruck complements his abilities as a key forward and he should improve in an AFL club background. And he is a Fremantle supporter so what's not to like.
Memo to Peter Bell; Pick JVR first up if he's available.

Saw Amiss in the first state game against SA, couldn’t get the distance from 45m out, then passed off the rest of his opportunities, and the passes didn’t work.

Edit: kicked a lovely snap from 25m on the boundary. But I don’t think you can build a forward line around someone who can’t kick 45m

Saw Motlop play yesterday, but did very little. But he wasn't on his own for Souths.
Sheldrick is a good goal kicking midfielder, who got enty of it yesterday, but size wise similar to Brayshaw and Serong.

Jye Amiss is very quick on the lead.. Seems to be improving at a fast rate too.. I guess his record speaks for itself in the Colts competition.. There is also Jack Williams.. I wander if he would get through to our pick 27.. I still think we should go for Jye Amiss or JVR and Josh Rachele.. Best forwards available.. 1 tall / 1 small forward.. Then a mid at pick 27 if we still have that pick..

Geez we are going to have a heap of money in the cap from next year to target someone.. De Goey would be nice

Yes Corp, Bazzo did go to JVR but also another of his mates had to help him out. In every contest after the first 2 goals were kicked JVR was up against Bazzo plus another tall defender yet still kicked 2 goals himself, managed to dish off a couple more to team mates and took a turn in the ruck. Worth noting as well that he kicked 4.4 against Bazzo as well in the previous encounter.
And Detox, we do not under any circumstance want any piece of De Gooey. The guy is a major problem both financially and culturally. Stay away.

The inner sanctum have JVR ranked at 17 and Eramus at 5! Interestingly JVR has averaged 3.8 goals per game at colts level, well above Amiss at 2.8 and Williams at 2.9.
