Speaking of band width, how do you think Alex is going to take it when this other big head of hair turns up in his backline. I'm seeing Clark told to move to the wing or get a hair cut son....

Clark-ey, Jordo. Our new recruit, Yeti. You were probably getting confused with our old ruckman from a few years back.

Watched an interview with him, he thinks his best footy is off half back. Every article I saw prior to his successful drafting said his camp saw his best position as half back. Geelong wouldn’t play him because their backline coach didn’t want to play him. Peter Bell thinks he fills need for us off half back.
Is it just me or do others think, the one area that we could’ve afforded to not to recruit more players was the backline?
Now I see we are probably going to recruit more mid’s with our top ten picks.
I wonder why we seem to have trouble scoring?

Move Tucker from half back to the midfield. That opens up a spot for Clark.

Teach him to kick goals, that'll open up a spot for another Mid/Halfback.

Tucker doesn`t have a spot at half back/pocket. 5 players, Luke Ryan, Hayden Young, Chappie, Wilson and Walker are all in front of him and arguably Hughes and Aish as well. Of course thats not counting Clark.
Unless Chappie, Young or Walker go up on to the wing, Im not sure where Clark will fit in, never mind Tucker.
Edit: plus Logue

Logue and Chapman are both 193+cm tall, they are competing with Hamling for the third tall back behind Pearce and Cox who would be the first two picked if fit.
IMHO Wilson is the most in danger to lose his spot if we decide to play Clark in the backline. We wouldn’t drop Ryan or Young so Wilson, Clark and Walker are all competing for the last spot in the backline. Personally I’d play Clark on a wing and Walker off the bench as the 7th defender. With a view to move him onto the wing after he’s had a few preseasons put into him.

Nice to see our CEO Simon Garlick giving Steve Hocking a public whacking for badmouthing Jordan today. The proof was in the demolition job Melbourne did on Geelong's pensioners outfit in the finals and they still haven't come to terms with why all their kids want out. Keep it up Simon, I'm sure Jordan will do right by us next season when given opportunities he was denied by the Cats.
