So what if he's a Brownlow medalist and has two years left on a contract with another club.
He probably only has 3-4yrs left and he doesn't add much in my view.
We could get long term WA talent this year in positions that we need. Far better to go to the draft with picks 6 and 8.

As for Neale’s worth, I’ve used the very scientific and not at all made up AFL draft pick calculator as a guide.

In 2018 Brisbane gave up Picks 6, 19 and 55 to acquire Neale, and they received pick No.30 back from Freo. From a points perspective, that equates to pick 3.

For that, Brissy received the potential for 6 years of Lachie’s prime. Now, we shape to get the final three years of that prime, then will probably be overpaying him for some tail off. So, I reckon his value now is about half what it was in 2018.

Which, using the draft pick calculator, equals pick 15. That seems about right to me.

Good to have sorted.. at least 2 first round draft picks and a good 2nd rounder taken into this years draft.. Carltank probably will need to give up a 2nd rounder as well to get Cerra plus there 6 pick.. that gives us I think 9 x first round draft picks and 7x 2nd rounders in the squad.. not to mention a few handy 3rd rounders like Darcy, Ryan, Walters and Cox. Building nicely
