I'm sure Belly can convince the Demons they desperately need Lobb, and that Jackson is homesick. Oh, and that Kossie Pickett would look soooo good in purple. Get to work, Peter, you haven't got time to be faffing around watching finals.

For people questioning whether we need any quality big midfield players to support and succeed Mundy and Fyfe, I’d like to know which good teams don’t have any.

Good teams. Well you for a start you could assume those that finish in the top eight each year 5-8 are considered good with top four very good?

Surely Geelong need Cerra to replace their aging mids... any chance to lure Jordan Clark plus a later pick from them?

It would need to be Geelongs 1st pick plus Clarke plus some later picks.
I still think we should get on the blower to the hawks, picks 5,21 & 24 looks like the right price for Cerra, after farther son picks that’ll become 7, 23 & 26

According to our CEO (Garlick)
The Schultz deal is just ironing our a few details ,
And Lobb is a required player ,heard that before .

3 high draft picks for Cerra. I can sell you a bridge.

We will get a first round and a later round pick swap and if lucky a set of blunt steak knives.

That is nowhere near his value.
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.

You have to remember that even know Cerra is out of contract we still hold a pretty good hand here. The club that he nominates will unlikely be able to price the lower clubs out of picking him up in the pre season draft. We would be even better positioned if he nominates a team that finished higher than us this year. I think we do well out of this deal with top 10 pick only the starting point for negotiations.

As long as Cerra doesn't recognize what an off-field mess Carlton seem to be right now ...

After watching English recently I've certainly come around to the fact that I really hope we don't go after him.
He'd cost too much, and although I don't think Lobb is a particularly great forward or ruckman, I certainly don't think English is any better, especially as a key forward.

I think English has struggled since he was knocked out early in the year. Hasn’t been the same player since. Played some ripping games earlier in the season.

English has never been that good a player. Whilst rucks take longer to come on he's had six pre seasons under his belt. Probably what you see now is all you get.
