Necessity is the mother of invention, and Liam Henry's move up to the wing, presumably because of Son Son's injury and Blake Acres' omission, looks to have unearthed the natural successor to the great Stephen Hill.
Liam was thought of as a game-breaking small forward, but that was as a result of his junior footy where his sheer ability blew opponents away. It's much tougher, though, in the AFL where defenders are bigger, faster and better drilled, and, while he's done plenty of good things and has been growing game by game, it was still often a tough assignment for a slightly built teenager.
Give him room and a 360 degree field to operate in, though, and he seemed to immediately stepped up a couple of notches. Watch out!
