Can someone please explain how the hit on Wilson was different, to the act Treacy committed a couple of weeks ago for a fine? I thought the impact was more severe.
I agreed with the Treacy fine, and could’ve accepted a week.
I’m tired of genuine football acts copping time because of unfortunate/unlucky outcomes while unnecessary deliberate acts are going unpunished.
Buddy has taken two players front on and high this year with no concern for the possible outcome for the player he hit. Anyone who thinks I’m getting agitated because it was against the Dockers, they can think again, I’ve raised both of these issues with Duff and Quarters on their podcast.
The stars are a protected species while unheralded players get suspended. Stars affect the product and may miss a Brownlow, the unheralded guys might lose a career.
Why did the AFL abandon the suspension after multiple fines from a number of years ago?
