Franklin is a protected species but those incidents cannot be ignored.
I've watched the Wilson hit a number of times and it was certainly high, probably with his elbow. It has to be intentional, high contact and medium impact and that's a week (at least)
The elbow to Ryan's head 'might' be considered as insufficient to rate a suspension but it was certainly intentional and high contact. I think low impact is not correct but somewhere between low and medium.
The MRO cannot ignore two incidents of that nature if the 'head is sacred' mantra has any real meaning for the AFL. Of course, if it's only 'some heads are sacred' then he'll be fine to play next week. You can never tell with an organisation totally devoid of integrity, which way they will jump.
If he doesn't get suspended, it's just more ammunition to sink the AFL when the inevitable lawsuit for concussion happens.
