CA, given Darcy took 3 or 4 at least marks inside 50 I think Brereton is as good a statatition as he is a commentator.

Henry and Schultz should be playing in the WAFL next week.
Henry hasn't showed nothing unless he's got paddock of time.
And Schultz has gone backwards.
And our coach needs to make the hard calls and and don't play players when they can't compete.
I would prefer to see fit young kids than one arm and one leg players turning the ball over.
This year is gone do the right thing Fremantle Football Club.

Yes, i meant tackles not marks. Which is apparently correct. One tackle inside 50 for the game.

Cerra...whats the fuss?
Fyfe was a ball magnet on the ground and in the air in his early sensible hair style years.
Cerra must read and listen to the loud whispers as he must be saving himself for grapes and fanning from a team like Carlton....good luck with that....maybe Collingwood,
Fremantle site has a nice comment of "dominated a handful of games" in bio.
Get as much as possible and chuck in Lobb.

I’m personally not the biggest fan of Cerra. He is a good user on both sides but he lacks the mongrel IMO. I’d pick Serong over him any day of the week, but I also like how Cooky and Shauny Mac went about it so what would I know. If we could get Bolton for him that’s a win every day of the week. You don’t want to be here? Tell your story walking.

Mongrel aside, he's quite good at the football part.

Thanks Clinical, finally someone with guts to say what we were all thinking.

Don't let those who aren't mongrels get to you.

Does mongrel come with or without a private school training? Asking for a friend?

Cerra is not the biggest player, but he is brave when competing for marks and often takes them against bigger opponents. He gives us a lot as a very gifted footballer, like yesterday, which will have given his credentials a lift. I hope he has some more good games and if he goes, we should get double what we got for Weller.

I never understood (and still don't) why Ross made he play as a lock down defender or in defensive roles when we saw super early in his career he was creative, good off both sides, and good in traffic.

He's 21 and in his 4th year of footy and the trend line is actually pretty good. Imagine him with a bit more bulk and in our midfield for another 6 or 7 years.

Another way to look at it would be right now if you're the mid coach for the opposition and talking about defensive strat / tactics against Freo who are you trying to shutdown for inside 50 kicks? I'd argue you'd be telling the mids to shutdown Mundy and Cerra, ahead of Brayshaw and Fyfe based on their field kicking.

The Bolton question should be do we want to add him to the mix to add depth and something different to out mid / fwd mix not as an OR with Cerra.

Recruiter: "this boy has great footy smarts and a beautiful kick"
Ross:. "Effort. Does he give effort?"

JLo appears to be trying to build a team prioritising considered and efficient ball use. You couldn’t ask for a better young midfielder to slot into that type of system than Cerra. He strikes me as a cerebral player, and his skills are wonderful.

But I get what you mean Clinical. Of our young players he is perhaps the player I’ve warmed to least. Maybe it’s nothing to do with him and merely a product of hearing about his contract status constantly. Fairly or not, to me he feels more like a good employee for the club than a part of the team at this stage.

I think the answer to your question 391 is that it’s rare for 18 year olds to start as inside midfielders, especially a player like Cerra who was coming into his rookie season fresh off shoulder surgery. We already had B Hill and Langdon on the wings for Freo, so Lyon had to find spots for Cerra and Brayshaw elsewhere on the field (Cerra largely through half-back and Brayshaw largely at half-forward). He played 21 games in his rookie season so he had a fair crack at it.
