At the risk of fence sitting, yes it's true some players require more support than others. That's just one of those weird 'people' variable things.
However to suggest as Simpson did, that private schooling and married parents (to each other, still) produces players who need less support than a public school player with divorced parents is naïve and extraordinarily simplistic at best, racist (and more) at worst and really outside the scope of what he does for a crust.
As someone who meets the latter category, its also insulting enough to add to the long list of reasons for hating those entitled Muppets.
It may very well be his opinion but to peddle that as 'fact' is just ignorant, to do it to increase your workplace's budget is clumsy fear-mongering politics.
And I reckon Dawkins would be horrified to hear the word scientific was used in connection to this Simpson thing, there's nothing scientific about his opinion. I feel most of the readers here don't need a rant about the scientific method and the very few that do, won't understand it. They're the sort of people who talk about gravity only being a 'theory' ...
