Wouldn't Crowden be more likely to come in as a like for like replacement for Switta? Otherwise Walker who has spent all his development time, and this year playing half back would be playing half forward. Unless they all of a sudden think he has the making of one.
Considering Darcy didn't train all week, just did a few laps and rehab, it's a worry expecting him to carry as big a ruckload as he has. Plus as Tabs hasn't played in weeks and is a poor back up ruckman, and we shouldn't have to use Treacy in that role, another option could be to have Darcy spend more time forward and Meek included to do some ruck work.

I'm not sure Crowden is a small forward despite being shoehorned in there when given a run. In any case, we have an over abundance of small forwards already in the side so replacing Switta with another seems redundant. With Sonny, Henry, Schultz, Colyer and even Banfield, surely we want someone who isn't a small forward coming in.

I still don't like playing two slow, lumbering ruckman, I'm not sure I can think of any game where that's worked well tactically. At least one of them needs to be mobile and able to get around the ground well. Darcy has been amazing with his tap work and should be good to go, while Meek offers little forward (and not too much impact in the ruck either). I'd rather play a smaller forwardline than two lumbering ruckman. Let tabs and Treacy run riot and be the focus forward.

Meek and Walker named in starting 22 along with Tabs and young who were already named, Hughes the other one to drop out.
Lobb=Tabs
Acres= Meek (we have a second ruck now)
Switowski= Young
Hughes = Walker

This makes us taller around the ground which can only be a good thing!

Be nice to see Switkowski play more than 3 or 4 games without getting injured. He looks the goods but just can't get a decent run at it. Also looks like the coaching staff rate Walker slightly ahead of Hughes at this stage which I am not sure I agree with. Bit harsh to drop Hughes after one game back. Finally, not a fan of two ruckmen unless they are both very good. Much prefer the one ruck and anyone tall like Tabs or Lobb backing up when necessary. I am guessing that Darcy may play a fair bit up front this week.

I think and hope that there is a lot of difference between saying Tabs isn't a very good ruckman and what he said. If not, you'd be in the same boat with regards to Acres ruckwork comment.

And if we're going down that path anybody here criticising Fyfe's goal kicking, Henry's recent form, in fact just about anything we think hasn't or isn't up to scratch would be in the same boat, including you.

And if I have come across like that I assume others will let me know and I would be off D/land.
