THOUSANDS of fans who watched Geelong's win over Carlton at the MCG on Saturday have been assessed as COVID-19 Tier 2 close contacts after a positive case attended the match.

Presumably the Geelong players did not interact with people.

I assumed they sell full strength in the members reserve of the MCG, but there's no need to go that hard at a footy match.

All AFL players are undergoing Covid tests every week and I would expect that all the squad travelling would have already had tests before flying so I cannot see any rational reason for any changes for tomorrows game but when has McGowan acted reasonably!

But, hey, surely it’s about to dawn on the AFL that they need to get as many players out of the plague states as possible, starting with Sydney next week.
That has the added advantage of giving Freo some payback for having to chase the Blues all over the country.
